To Mingyu Xu, founder of MINGYU XU STUDIO, furniture is not merely an expression of style, but a sustained mode of research: exploring the understanding of materials, the construction of structures, and the ongoing vitality of tradition in modern living. Drawing from his Chinese background and professional training in the UK, he developed a design approach that bridges rational structure and handcrafted tactility, advancing his practice through constant "integration".
