Ni Jun

Ni Jun was born in Tianjin in 1963. He received his master’s degree from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Jersey, in 1991, and lived in New York for many years. He is now based in Beijing.

Ni Jun is a contemporary painter known for his philosophical rigor and theoretical depth. He has conducted extensive research on oil painting, public art, modern art theory, and ancient Chinese civilization. Through painting, photography, and video, he explores contemporary life and expresses his reflections on the philosophical nature of the world.
