Born in Qingdao, based in Shanghai and now residing in Suzhou, Xiang Hao describes himself as a perpetual “outsider” when speaking of these cities. As a newcomer to each urban environment and an observer of reality, he turns his gaze toward fragments of daily life, capturing the most subtle moments. Alternately immersed and detached, he translates these experiences into artistic creation. Nothing lasts forever, yet humans possess the capacity to build their own lives within the bounds of a finite existence.
