Hua Wang borrows the common object of chain to explore the connection between animals and plants from industrial mass production to biology. From blockchain to necklaces, she attempts to create a world in which time overlaps through the changes in materials and the interlacing of shapes, the chain was once a symbol of restrain but here it is also a link in the invisible network that connects all things. Chains are unavoidable lifting chains in industrial mass production, but Hua uses crystal polyurethane and her unique seamless connecting technology to make them rare and precious. In her hands, the chain is no longer cold, but seems to be infused with feminine grace, like an enlarged necklace, or a dense chain of DNA that looms between you and me, crystal clear and interlocking.
