Richard Stone is a British sculptor and painter and a fellow and trustee of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. He was born in 1974 in England and graduated from Central Saint Martinsin 2000. His sculptural forms capture the liminal space between solidity and movement, emergence and dissolution, figuration and abstraction, whilst articulating the continued relevance of beauty in classical materials. His paintings oscillate similarly between stillness and movement, depicting muted landscapes, monochrome and colour driven hypnotic depictions of nature. These unique works together boldly respond to the histories that came before him whilst offering a contemporary reimagining.

Stone has been referred to as "one of the most talented emerging artists working in the UK today"and his practice has been  seen as "intrinsic to consider our place and purpose within an ever-changing world".
